Danee is based in Tahiti and works in most all facets of still/HD film photography whether on land, in the air or in the sea. He was born in Pasadena, California and now is based in Tahiti- French Polynesia for the past 21 years.
Since 1984, he has been shooting professionally internationally for prestigious clients. His worldly insight throughout his travels and the people he met allowed him to broaden his knowledge as well as artistic talents while on a multitude of projects and assignments.
His passions are photography, culture, people and exploration. Danee humbly received an award as Adventurer of the Year of 2013 by the Adventures’ Club of Los Angeles. He has documented the Indigenous Tribes of Taiwan and sailed across the Pacific in Polynesian voyaging canoes using non instrument star navigation. He was a speaker on TV program TEDx (Technology, Entertainment, Development) on the topic of One Big Family and photographed for UNESCO World Heritage site for the Marae Taputapuatea complex in Raiatea, 2014. Danee was honored to be selected as one of Air Tahiti Nui’s, Ambassadors of Tahiti and Tahiti Nui Explorer.
He recently worked on the production of the Disney's animation Moana with their creative team, and often endeavors on Faafaite Polynesian Voyaging canoe.
